Membership Committee

Objective:

  • Membership Growth and Retention through Communication, Education and Promotion.

The Membership Committee volunteers are Ambassadors of the Sacramento IFMA Chapter. Our mission is to ensure that all Chapter Members realize the full potential of their IFMA Membership. To accomplish this mission, we actively partner with Chapter Members and Chapter Committees to create a network of peers, programs and events that promotes and celebrates the industry of Facilities Management and the many individuals who have developed their career throughout the built environment.

New Member Orientation

Each quarter the Membership Committee hosts a New Members Breakfast for those who have recently joined our Chapter and for those who are still considering membership. The purpose of the breakfast is to introduce new members to the Board of Directors, the Chapter Committees and the opportunities for professional development and engagement within the Chapter. If you’re a new or potential member, we’d love to meet you, buy you breakfast and introduce ourselves and our Chapter.

Hospitality

Those of us on the Membership Committee understand and value the importance of hospitality; it is a personal goal for each of us to ensure our Chapter Members feel welcome and wanted at all events and programs. We are not a Chapter of cliques and small factions. We are a Chapter of active, open engagement so that all Members are able to enjoy and partake in beneficial networking, professional development, educational opportunities and career enhancement.

Resources and Opportunities

The Membership Committee is committed to assisting all Chapter Members in leveraging the many resources and opportunities available within our Chapter and within the global community of IFMA. Our commitment is twofold; first, we actively listen to the ideas and input our Members may have concerning our Chapter. Additionally, we are available to answer questions and to provide insight on the various resources and opportunities available to our diverse community of Members.
