Dear IFMA Sacramento Valley Chapter Members,
Thank you for the opportunity and the honor of serving as President of the Sacramento Valley Chapter of IFMA. I was recently elected into the position in September and it has already been a rewarding journey. I am proud to be leading this accomplished chapter; Past 2008 IFMA Small Chapter of the Year, 2009 Web Site of the Year, and again in 2014 IFMA Small Chapter of the Year!  With our experienced and talented chapter leaders we are planning for another strong year and will continue to strive for excellence.
The chapter leaders have identified “membership” and “education” as our primary focus for the next 9-12 months. This year we will be working to:

  • increase our membership numbers
  • provide educational and scholarship opportunities
  • promote our BUY IFMA program
  • strengthen committees and provide opportunities for advancement

You should see the results of our renewed focus and talents; as you attend our upcoming programs, building tours, educational events, and special events like Happy Appy, our famous Golf Tournament or Beer Tour. Please attend and invite your colleagues, invite your customers, invite your friends to become involved in IFMA. Bring them along to programs and help us show them how IFMA can provide value and career opportunities found nowhere else.
Take advantage of the grants and scholarships we offer for FMP, CFM and SFP credentials.
And be sure to BUY IFMA!  Our chapter BUY IFMA Program has officially launched, directories have been distributed for 2016-2017, and our members are committed to looking to other members first for needed industry goods and service.
We are a chapter full of strengths, experience, and enthusiasm. We are full of dedicated volunteers who freely give their time to put together all of the amazing programs and keep IFMA Sacramento running. Let’s strengthen IFMA Sacramento this year, and keep our chapter a relevant and valuable resource for us all.  If you aren’t already, I encourage you to get involved—attend an event, become a member, join a committee, stay active and enjoy the rewards a solid chapter like ours can provide you personally and professionally. Let’s commit to strengthening our chapter in the coming months and enjoying all the benefits IFMA Sacramento Valley has to offer.
All the best,
